Most nationalities (including Europeans and Americans) can get a Visa on Arrival at Kathmandu Airport. For Bangladeshi citizens, the visa is on-arrival and the first visit of the calendar year is usually free. Indian citizens do not require a visa but must carry a valid Passport or Voter ID.
Bring comfortable walking shoes for sightseeing, a warm jacket (Nagarkot/Pokhara can be chilly), sunglasses, sunscreen, and a universal power adapter. Don't forget any personal medications.
Respect local customs—always dress modestly when visiting temples (shoulders and knees covered). Use bottled mineral water for drinking. If you are prone to motion sickness, bring medicine for the winding mountain roads.
Try the local "MoMo" and "Dal Bhat." If you're feeling adventurous, book a Paragliding session in Pokhara—it offers the best views in the world! Also, carry some local NPR (Nepalese Rupees) for small purchases in local markets.
Good 'ole Exodus!
